Photography is Art

Art Tells Stories

Are you telling yours?

Memories are fleeting.

Phat Shutter captures them… with an artistic eye, in a way no smartphone snapshot (and few photographers) can.

Specializing in automotive, nature, and architecture photography, Phat Shutter is not your typical photographer. Quite different, in fact.

Phat Shutter is me, Paul Driftmier, the artist behind the lens.

“I’m a bit of an oddball.”

What does that mean to you?

It means I see things differently. It means I find the art in every situation. It means I don’t use a standard process like most photographers…

…and it means you get a photographic experience unlike anywhere else, plus an artistic collection of images that perfectly capture your memories.

Intrigued? Let’s talk and see if we’re a good fit. I See Things.

Why Phat Shutter?

When it comes to choosing a photographer, you have a lot of choices. I know I’m not the only one.

So what do you get when you hire me?

You get someone who will treat you as the individual you are.

My philosophy is to serve you. I don’t pretend to have all the answers up front, so I get to know you.

I don’t have a formula for any particular situation or setting. So many photographers focus on the craft of photography – the f-stop and technical stuff.

But you know what? There’s no particular process to creating art.

If we work together, you’ll get a photographer and an artist. An artist first, actually.

Why now?

Photography is a memory device. That’s the difference between a snapshot and a photograph.

And good photography shouldn’t be an occasional thing, saved only for “important” events like weddings or exotic vacations.

Why not capture this moment?

Memories are fleeting.

Don’t lose them, or leave them to smartphone chance.

Let’s do this. Let’s turn some of your life now into art.
